Our nap on Friday represents a trainer and jockey going great guns as the National Hunt season continues to gather pace and they can sample more success at Fontwell.

Fergal O’Brien’s string are in excellent shape right now, with a strike-rate in excess of 30 per cent from 23 runners over the last fortnight. By association, regular rider Paddy Brennan is enjoying a fine autumn and the partnership have been among the winners already this week.

They can get on the scoresheet early in the afternoon with COOLANLY, who has the right credentials to win this Visit Beginners’ Chase over close to 2m 5½f.

The eight-year-old gained some good experience over these obstacles in two starts last winter, making the frame at Exeter and Leicester. He was second best behind Esprit Du Large on that first start over 2m 3f, with Evan Williams’ charge winning a Grade 1 Sandown novice on his next start.

Coolanly, meanwhile, hasn’t been spotted since his third at Leicester in early December over a furlong more than today’s trip.

He won his bumper after his layoff and should be ready to roll here, given the recent form of the yard. The Alan King-trained I K Brunel was a smart hurdler and rates a danger but Coolanly has the all-important chasing experience and that ought to stand him in good stead to make it third time lucky over the larger obstacles for his bang-in-form trainer/jockey team.

Tip: Coolanly @ 6/4 with bet365

Jedd O’Keeffe will be hoping a return to 7f can help BREANSKI register a belated first win of 2020 with champion jockey Oisin Murphy taking over in the plate.

The pair were successful on their only previous start together at Yarmouth in 2018 over a mile when the Delegator gelding was in the hands of Brian Meehan. Murphy, meanwhile, has scored with one of his previous two rides for the O’Keeffe yard.

Breanski has started six times on turf since he reappeared on the all-weather at Newcastle in early June on racing’s resumption. In that turf sequence he has posted figures of 323633, and was beaten less than two lengths at Doncaster in August on the only occasion he failed to make the frame.

He has been desperately unlucky at Redcar and Newmarket over this trip and his most recent runs at Doncaster and, again, at Headquarters have been over 6f.

Breanski races once more from a mark of 85. Back up in distance at a track where he boasts winning form and with Murphy taking over in the saddle he should be in the firing line.

Tip: Breanski @ 7/1 with bet365

On Friday evening, ASTROZONE should be able to go very close for Brian Smart and Graham Lee in the final race of a busy day.

The filly is already 2-2 over the flying five at Newcastle this season and she boasts three wins from six starts on artificial surfaces. She looks much more at ease on an all-weather surface than the turf.

Having won on her seasonal reappearance here in June from a mark of 65, she was well held in turf outings at Beverley and Catterick before scoring again from the front off a rating of 70 here at the beginning of August.

She wasn’t able to replicate that form at Musselburgh 26 days ago but she’s rated 1lb lower back at this circuit and may take some catching on the front end with Another Angel – something of a course specialist and a potential frontrunner – mostly struggling for form this season despite a shock 25/1 win here this month before a poor run again since.

Tip: Astrozone @ 11/2 with bet365
