There are four horse racing meetings across England, Scotland and Wales on Tuesday featuring a total of 36 races. The afternoon action comes from Doncaster (12.30-5.05pm) and Musselburgh (12.45-4.15) before the evening entertainment at Leicester (4.40-8.45) and Chepstow (5.00-9.00).
Semser was only beaten by a smart sort on debut this month, form that has been boosted since by the winner, and is fancied to land the nap vote at Doncaster for trainer Roger Varian, who typically does well at the Yorkshire circuit.

Horse racing tips today: Doncaster, 4.00 — Semser can go one better
Division II of this Novice Stakes over a mile and a quarter can go the way of Semser for trainer Roger Varian. The three-year-old enjoyed a promising debut this month at Kempton Park, making a lot of the running before being picked off fairly readily by another debutant, Marcus Tregoning’s Raatea.
That form took a nice boost on Saturday at Newmarket when the winner was just denied in a three-way photograph behind two rivals rated in the 90s in a Class 2 handicap.
The Varian yard remains in excellent form just now, with the trainer boasting a superb 26 per cent strike-rate with his 27 runners on Town Moor during 2019.
Semser sets a fairly solid benchmark here, with improvement forecast, but the presence of Lingfield winner Fly Falcon and another promising sort in the filly Sheila should ensure a fair price.
Tip: Semser — Doncaster, 4.00 @ 6/4 with William Hill (forecast odds)
Horse racing tips today: Doncaster, 2.30 — Nightmare can get better
Some Nightmare and Giant Steps are two who caught the eye last time out. The latter was second at Chelmsford on the all-weather a fortnight ago on his first start after arriving from France, while the selection filled fourth spot at Chepstow a day previously.
Adam Kirby takes over here on Giant Steps but preference is for John O’Shea’s colt in the hands of Luke Morris.
Gordon Elliott’s former charge rather blew the start at Chepstow over 5f last time but came home in strong fashion to finish fourth. He will want to break more alertly now but the extra yardage here should be in his favour and this doesn’t appear to be a strong event, even for a Class 6 contest.
Tip: Some Nightmare — Doncaster, 2.30 @ 11/4 with William Hill
Horse racing tips today: Chepstow, 8.30 — Hatsaway an each-way player
In the penultimate race of the evening at the Welsh venue Hatsaway might be one to give punters a run for their money.
It’s been two years since he last tasted success but his recent comeback on the Polytrack at Kempton had some merit to it. Like everyone else, he was toiling in pursuit of the runaway winner Red Secret, while the two-mile trip has routinely proved beyond him in the past.
This return to a mile and a half will suit much better and if he can build on that run, it’s far from inconceivable he can take advantage of this lowly rating in the near future.
Claimer Paddy Bradley knows him well and was on board for his most recent success at Lingfield in 2018 and they could have a say in this at a working man’s price.
Tip: Hatsaway — Chepstow, 8.30 @ 14/1 with William Hill
