Top-notch high stakes action is heading to Russia in March as partypoker holds its first-ever MILLIONS Super High Roller Series (SHRS) at Casino Sochi.
Russia’s newest high stakes poker event will take place from March 6-15 and will gather some of the best and most popular players in the high roller circuit, including Jason Koon, Rob Yong, Richard Yong, Mikita Badziakouski, Cary Katz, and Paul Phua.
The event, which is Russia’s biggest high stakes poker event to date, is made possible through the partnership of partypoker, Poker Central and Triton Poker.
The schedule features a total of eight events, spread across ten days of insane high roller action. The first three events of the series taking place on March 6-8 feature a buy-in of $25,000, the “lowest” entry free on the schedule. The first event features 300,000 in starting chips, while players start with 125,000 during the second event. The chips are upped again to 300,000 for the third $25K event.
The game then goes to the next level on March 9 and 10, with two events carrying buy-ins of $50,000. Both events will feature 150,000 and 300,000 in starting chips respectively. They will then be followed by a $100,000 buy-in event on March 11-12, sponsored by Triton Poker. Players kick off the action with 200,000 in starting chips.
Another $50K event will take place on March 12-13, which will serve as warm up to the main highlight of the festival, Poker Central’s $250,000 buy-in Super High Roller Bowl, running on March 13-15 with 250,000 chips in play.
All events will be played in either Short Deck or No-Limit Hold’em, and will allow re-entries, except for the Super High Roller Bowl which features a single re-entry format. Late registration is also permitted.
How To Get Updates
The massive festival will be covered by the majority of poker news outlets online where you can get significant updates, but if you want to follow the live action yourself without needing to go to the venue, you can do so via livestreaming.
All events will be livestreamed on partypoker channels including Twitch, as well as on PokerGO. The livestreams will also come with English commentary. You can get access to the livestreams for free, however, livestreaming for the Super High Roller Bowl Russia will only be exclusively available to PokerGO customers.
Commenting on the upcoming event, Artur Voskanyan, manager of the Casino Sochi Poker Club, said they look forward to offering players from all over the globe a VIP experience at the venue, while at the same time showing them the beauty of Sochi.
Poker Central’s expansion to Russia coincides with their main goal of attracting new customers, and bringing the best poker events to poker players and fans all over the world. Poker Central President Sam Simmons describes Super High Roller Bowl Russia as a great milestone for the team.
partypoker Continues To Grow
The SHRS is just one of a series of events hosted by partypoker this 2020, with its MILLIONS Tour also gearing up for its next stops in Cyprus, Las Vegas, and London. A MILLIONS Online edition will also take place for online poker players and fans.
The festival will wrap up with the season-ending Caribbean Poker Party at the Bahamas in November. Adding to the excitement is the introduction of a new flexible MILLIONS Passport package, enabling lucky holders to take part in MILLIONS events throughout the year for little to no investment.
The MILLIONS tournament is among the most highly anticipated annual poker festivals in the world, featuring mammoth guarantees. This year, Sweden’s Anton Suarez walked away as a millionaire after winning the MILLIONS UK Main Event back in January.
Partypoker will continue to come out with brand new poker offerings and major tournaments as it looks to expand its customer base and remain as one of the world’s leading online poker sites.
