Weekend betting tips: Four bets that could make you a fortune

It’s another busy weekend of sporting action with loads to look forward to.

Anthony Joshua bids to regain his world titles when he takes on Andy Ruiz, while Kildare native Dennis Hogan takes on Jermall Charlo for the WBC middleweight title in Brooklyn.

Manchester United v Manchester City is the standout tie in the Premier League, while the Champions Cup continues in the rugby.

And there’s so much horse racing action also taking place.

Here’s our best bets:

Native River 2.40pm Aintree Saturday

Native River after winning the 2018 Gold Cup

One of the most interesting contests of the weekend is the Virgin Bet Price Boosts Many Clouds Chase at Aintree on Saturday as old rivals Native River and Might Bite lock horns.

The pair famously had a titanic battle in the 2018 Gold Cup with Native River emerging on top.

Neither horse managed to record a win last season, but Native River ran a lot more creditably than Might Bite and preference is for him here.

Defi Du Seuil 3pm Sandown Saturday 6/4

Defi Du Seuil

Defi Du Seuil looks the one they all have to beat in the Tingle Creek at Sandown.

Last year’s JLT winner responded well to pressure in his first run in open company to land the Shloer Chase at Cheltenham last month.

He may have to improve on that performance, but that looks very likely and it will be interesting to see what race he goes for at next year’s Cheltenham Festival.

Crystal Palace to beat Watford 3pm Saturday 21/10

Roy Hodgson

Watford are rock bottom of the Premier League table after an awful start to the season.

The Hornets have lost four of their last five games, with their most recent coming against Leicester in midweek.

On the other hand, Palace are going well and are high up the table. An away win looks a great price here.

Min 1.50pm Punchestown Sunday 8/11

Min

Min should make it back to back wins in the John Durkan Memorial Punchestown Chase on Sunday.

He faces some high-class opponents including Presenting Percy and last year’s Gold Cup runner-up Anibale Fly and looks very, very short in the betting given the calibre of opponent.

But he should go very close to making it four wins from the last five renewals for Willie Mullins.
