WSOPC Potawatomi Main Event – Philip Shing Wins

The $1,700 Main Event of the 2020 World Series of Poker Circuit started on Monday with a total of 524 entries. It was a 35-year-old player from Brooklyn, New York, called Philip Shing who managed to take down the event, winning a total of $151,284 for his effort. Shing was in Milwaukee for the first time in his life, meaning he will definitely always remember it with fondness.

Apart from a hefty monetary prize, Shing managed to win several more things as the first-placed player. One of them is the legendary gold ring that is awarded to all winners of WSOPC events. Perhaps the most important award was a seat into the 2020 Global Casino Championship which will gather some of the most successful poker players in the world.

Philip Shing [https://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/player.php?a=r&n=440560] is actually very familiar with the process of winning a WSOPC event as he managed to win one ring back in 2015. He took down Event #3: $580 Six-Max NLH in WSOPC Foxwoods and on a total of $14,543 for his effort.

The winner was pretty excited and shared his thoughts about the event. He said that the feeling “hadn’t really kicked yet,” meaning he was not aware that he managed to win the main event of the WSOPC Potawatomi. Moreover, he added that he didn’t play poker very often due to being busy with his work and that he had decided to visit Milwaukee on his days off. Finally, he concluded that the casino and the people had been great and amazing and that he would come to the tournament once again.

The Final Table Results — Who Else Managed to Make the Money?

The final table consisted of nine players, and the first one who had to say goodbye to their shot at the title was Fadi Hamad from Danvers, Illinois. Hamad won a total of $14,514.

He was followed by Marcus Yofon from Las Vegas, who ended up eighth with $18,209 in his pocket. After that, it was Michael Hartzheim from Little Chute, Wisconsin who had to hit the rail, winning $23,152.

The sixth and fifth positions were both occupied by two players from Wisconsin. Chris Roth from Waukesha managed to win a total of $29,829, whereas Cero Zuccarello from Madison ended the event with $38,937 in his pocket.

The fourth place was reserved for James Pupillo from Gilbert, Arizona. Pupillo managed to win $51,484, leaving three players in the game.

During the three-handed play, it was John Gallaher from Lebanon, Tennessee who had to hit the rail with $68,947 in his pocket, leaving Ken Donarski and Philip Shing to battle for the final prize.

At that point, Donarski had 6:1 disadvantage to Shing, who needed exactly one hand to take all his chips and officially become the Main Event winner. Donarski won $93,498 as a second-placed player but he won Casino Championship.
